GALLERY
The AlterWork Studios Gallery is a 500 square foot space located on the south side of the studio that can be used for exhibitions, performances, screenings, artists talks, and public programming. The gallery is open daily from 12PM-9PM (except holidays when the studio is closed). Gallery use is included in all membership tiers. Members of the public can also rent the gallery. All gallery use must be approved by the studio. If you are interested in renting the gallery, please see proposal guidelines and rental rates below. The studio will be responsible for processing all payments and collecting tax from all sales that occur during a rental. The Studio retains 30% of all sales with 70% going to the Artist. Payouts are finalized at the end of the event. The renter shall not circumvent the Studio to sell work.
proposal guidelines
Proposals can be submitted to the Studio Director via email (tina@alterworkstudios.com). Proposals should include: synopsis of the event (description, idea, plan of approach, etc.), desired time frame/dates, and sample images of work. Proposals should be submitted at least one month before the start of the desired event. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis. If the proposal is accepted, the renter will be notified if the desired dates are available.
renter responsibilities
All participating artists will be required to fill out a Loan Agreement provided by the Studio. The renter will be responsible for:
Providing the Studio with a press release and promotional images at least 2 weeks before event date. The Studio will post the press release on our website and various social media platforms.
Installation and hanging of the work.
Providing the studio with a price list for work included.
Returning the gallery to its original condition.
rental rates
daily: $300
weekly: $500
monthly (4 calendar weeks): $1500
Art installation is available for $110/hr per installer.
