  • 1 kiln (membership includes 2 firings - a full kiln can be rented for $180)

Materials and Resources: AlterWork Studios offers its members access to a multitude of donated materials and resources that varies and may include:

  • brushes, pencils
  • paints, inks, colors, solvents, glues
  • nails and screws
  • recycled clay
  • scrap wood
  • threads and fabrics
  • paper, books and magazines
 

AlterWork Studios is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non‐profit arts service organization. Through Fractured Atlas, we receive your monetary donations, non-cash donations of materials, supplies and tools, as well as in-kind donations of services for the purposes of improving and growing our mission and artist community. Fractured Atlas also provides oversight of funds and issues reports as required by the donor.

The neighborhood

AlterWork Studios is located in Long Island City's growing art community sharing the neighborhood with Kaufman Arts District, Flux Factory, Museum of the Moving Image, Socrates Sculpture Park, Isamu Noguchi Museum, Kaufman Astoria Studios, MoMA PS1, Chocolate Factory Theater, transportation and a vibrant community of shops, bars and restaurants.
