Infinite Games

AlterWork Studios is pleased to present an exhibition by Artist in Residence Jeff Repko, “Infinite Games”.

This exhibition is on view everyday from 12PM-9PM from 9/19/26 until 9/29/26.
Infinite Games is composed of abstract mechanisms that act as surrogates for the working body. Built from painted wood, fabric, and 3D-printed components, they borrow the visual language of industry while taking on a toylike aesthetic. Assembled through both digital fabrication and hand processes such as woodworking, sewing, and crochet, they hold a sense of potential, positioned between stillness and motion. Resting between work and play, their purpose remains ambiguous. Like a game played only to keep playing, they exist simply to keep going.
AlterWork Studios is located on the Ground Floor of 40-20 22nd Street, Long Island City, NY 11101. We are located on the west side of 22nd street between 40th and 41st avenues. When arriving, use the black touch screen to the left of the door to ring for AlterWork Studios in the Directory. Once inside, the studio is located down the stairs on the left.
Jeff Repko is a sculptor and educator whose practice bridges the gap between industrial fabrication and traditional craft. He explores the intersection of digital tools and processes with traditional techniques in woodworking, metalworking, painting, and fibers. His work utilizes industrial logic to create sculptural forms that navigate the relationship between physical objects and virtual design.
Repko’s work has been showcased at numerous institutions and public venues, including the Chicago Sculpture Exhibit, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Tennessee Center for Craft, among other institutions.
