Intro to Pottery Wheel & Hand Building - Wednesdays 10AM-1PM
This class will introduce you to the skills needed to center, form shapes, trim and finish pots using the wheel. This class will also show you the fundamentals of hand-building and cover different hand building methods such as pinch pots, slabs, coils and slip and score technique of combining two pieces of clay. You will also learn decorating and glazing techniques to be able to complete your own creations by the end of the session.
Includes clay and glazes, all tools, storage and 18 hours of studio bench time.
Firing Fees are paid separately in the 6th week prior to firing. The firing fees are 5 cents per cubic inch for items under 8” and 6 cents per cubic inch for items 8” and over. Firing fees include both the bisque and glaze firing of each piece.
